yeah pretty much.....i've had quite a few problems with mine on both trucks i've owned......just do it justice and switch it over to an Auburn LSD or Detroit Locker
Not a Chrysler one. Not only will it fail, but most likely take your whole rear end out with it! There are, however, VERY solid aftermarket ones. I have the Auburn Gear LSD and another popular choice is the Detroit TruTrac, both very solid, dependable units.
Yes, mopar limited slip is bad news. I went to an Auburn since I had an open diff stock and I could not be happier. Just remember if you do get an Auburnm full synthetics are bad and always remember the additive (even if the bottle says it comes with it)
Well the lsd rear ends come with 3.92's, mine stock came with 3.55's and an open diff. I upgraded to 3.92's and the auburn though. I don't really think it matters though which one you go with because you can have a shop replace the stock unit with an auburn or detroit tru trac.
