Default I know you love your truck, but what don't you like?

I know you love it, but what are the areas you are not so pleased with? I guess I have to start since it is a different kind of question. I have an 05 Power Wagon with an automatic. I am not all that excited about the auto tranny. I think it has to hunt for the right gear too much when driving up mountain highways. It seems like the speed I want to drive is in between gears, too fast for the lower gear and too slow for the next one. I deal with it, just like you will all tell me, but I just am least happy with that part of the truck. Everything else is fine.
Let me know what you think.

I just wish that they had a back-up camera or the sensors. I'm looking into purchasing one. Don't get me wrong, I am an excellent driver. But sometimes, backing up is a bitch! No matter how well you know your truck, you can't get it perfect. You know? I am not too pleased with the "upgraded" Infinity speakers. I mean, it is a change from the regular speakers, but when you look at Cadillac's and other vehicles, they have Bose. Bose is really, really nice! The MDS doesn't bother me one bit. There were posts on here before about the MDS and many have come to the conclusion of doing the "Tow/Haul" or the OverDrive button. Other than that, I love the truck. As you can tell, it isn't much. I'm not complaining about the speakers sucking, because they don't! They are great! But they can be much greater!

Bah - Bose is just another "premium" line. For every person that likes it, another person doesn't. Give me JBL/Infinity any day. I'm impressed with the stock Infinity system in my truck, and it's not like I don't know any better. Not only am I a car audio fan, I owned a stereo store in the mid 90s.

I wish Dodge had made the transmission a 6spd since there are 6 gears in there anyway. They could have used an intelligent shift program to decide when/how to use them, negating the whole "second / second-prime" issue.

I wish they had given us separate high and low beams. Four is always better than two. They've got the real estate available inside the housing too. The turn signal doesn't have to be as big as a softball!

Two things I wish I had from the factory. Manual locking hubs, and electric fan. I would be willing to sacrafice my seat warmers, my heated mirrors, and my auto dimming mirror. another thing I wish was different is the staereo size. I have the brushed alluminum dash (laramine) and if I go after market it will not look right with the black kit.

I agree with yellowsally, I wish the 5 spd auto would downshift fast when I hit the gas. Maybe someone sells a shift kit for it?

Ummm... Basically just the gears i guess. Not too bad of a deal though, they will be gone after the new rims/tires anyway.

I dont like the luxery stand point. They dont have auto lights, the air conditioners are not electronic, and they just dont look as nice inside. I am used to king ranch fords though. I think for 09 the trucks are supposed to be seriously upgraded. Oh and one more thing is that there isnt a power outlet in the back seat.

The plastic rims.

The lack of undercoating protectiononallDodge axles. I painted mine shortly after purchase.

Not putting rear wheel well liners in standard or even as an option. They have them, use them.

One more thing, it seems when my truck sits for a while and it gets rained on it holds water somewhere under the front bumper. Holding water is never good.

That is all I can think of, and they are not major issues. The things that I love about the truck well out weigh the issues. Plus most of those issues are solved in a couple hours with simple tools.

By the way, this is one of the best questions I have seen in a long time that was not of a technical nature!
