267WHP Stock is it!?!?

Supposed to be 345 at the crank, I figured it would be an honest 290+ at the wheels.

You would think but I read somewhere I think it was somewhere on here that the ram has a very high percentage of loss throughout the drivetrain in comparison to other trucks. that's why it's so low at the RW. At least I think I read that somewhere (better say I think AND THAT I'M NOT SURE ON THAT BUT IT JUST STICKS OUT IN MY HEAD AS SOMETHING I REMEMBER don't wanna give anyone the impression that I'm acting like the godfather of DF by taking a stab at an answer)

Thats what Dodge got in their test lab. Now they also got 18mpg in the city in a MDS Hemi and they also got 20+ on the highway. But they also fail to tell you in large print that those MPG numbers are based on 1980ish-2006 EPA aproved formulas that were based on driving at 50mph on the highway.

So if they post that horse hockey on the window sticker what formula are they using and from when to calculate the HP. Also don't forget those numbers always come from the best average they get. They do not bother telling you what the worst was. We all know engines have good days and bad days, all depending on the weather.

I enjoying driving my truck but I do not think that every engine that rolls off the line is 100% perfect and all of them hit 345 at the crank.

I heard the 345 at crank was also with the lots of the accessories ie PS AC and others not on the engine at the time. Dunno if that's true or just some mumbo jumbo the toyota guys spew out to try to make themselves look good but that's just what I heard.

So I was wrong about the twin part but this guy has asked about turbos more then once and in a few threads. He asks the same question and Kenihemi and others tells him the same thing.

He has been in on threads that discuss how good the STS is and has been refered to STS by more then one person.

https://dodgeforum.com/m_891840/tm.htm

https://dodgeforum.com/m_831834/tm.htm

https://dodgeforum.com/m_726510/tm.htm

I just think people want to talk about it, and that is fine but don't start a new thread every month about it. Keep the same one going.

It doesn't bother me that someone blocks me. I will come back to read and learn and post to chat ane help where I can.

Before I installed the turbo, I wanted a base line dyno to see how much power it was really going to make.

I had a Flowmaster "American Thunder" exhaust and an AirRaid CAI.

I dyno'd 267rwhp. 345-267=78hp loss in the 4x4 drivetrain, rotational mass, etc., to the ground.

Uh, Ben,

I didn't jump on anybody, you did. I just asked why in the world he would want a twin setup?

Motorider...,

Thanks and anytime.

wait you can block people on this forum. lol I never knew that.

O and in all honesty if I had known he was starting a thread about it every month asking the same question then i'd be on the same side as Keni and you because it gets annoying hearing the same thing and the same answers time and time again.

I shall edit my posts now and offer a formal apology to Keni and Foiled.
