I am NEW here,
I have an 04 Ram V6 short bed 5 speed manual. K&n air filter. synthic oil 5w30, 17in tires and 3.55 gears with posi.
It is lowered 2 inches in the front and 4 inches in the rear.
in September of 2007 I traveled 500 miles west from Ohio with my 800 lb motorcycle in the back.
I got 24.5 going west and 24.0 going east.
I believe the mileage is from the lowering kit.
I think this is OK as this is my first Truck.

How about 50 bucks. I also have stock struts and shocks, and coils, and control arms. I just need to get rid of them. They only have 35,500 miles on them. And to get installed by a dealership I think would only be like $500 or so. I wouldn't recommend doing them yourself because its kinda a big job. Shoot me your zip code and I will the the quote for shipping.ORIGINAL: Big#44

I have no idea how big of a difference it will make, I can not imagine 3.21. My 3.55 was good, but the 4.56 really opened it up even with 35 inch tires.

the 3.21 if connected to an automatic trans may help but 3.55 with a manual will help alittle going up hills but little else...
change in gas mileage will be small.
I have the trailer towing package so the trans is heavy duty, i mean it is BIG...
thanks for the welcome

22mph is damn good. I made a run from Tulsa to Houston and back and avg about 18. Only one stop in Dallas for a beverage, other then that it was cruise control at 5mph over speed limit.
