Default Superchips issue...

Hey guys, I need some help. I've got an '02 Ram QC 5.9L with 130000 miles. The truck runs & looks damn good, except when I put the hammer down. I get a slight pinging or knocking noise around 3300 rpm I guess.(I never look to see) It's in performance mode now, but in towing I don't hear it. I'm about ready to pull the plug on this programmer....

Remove the superchips out of the equasion and try the same thing again. It could be something mechanically wrong with your vehicle it just happened to occur when you put your superchips in.

Yeah, I use 93 octane, & Mobil 1 synthetic, 5w30. I don't wanna lose the programmer, but if I gotta, then I gotta. Oh, & how would I know it's the timing?
