I remeber a few weeks back a guy was asking why on earth his disks on his 2500 were cracking. After everyone in here started to ask him questions he also told the rest of the story, he was doing heavy braking from about 120mph. Well to be honest that was not enough also so I asked him if he also had bigger tires, maybe 2 sizes bigger or something he also said that he had put 35" on his truck. Its stupid stuff like that that will always mess up any truck no matter how bad a$$ it is. Dont be stupid and pull a bull dozer with a stock setup. Dont put a 6" lift on it and keep the stock gears and the stock brakes and normal no brainer stuff like that and your Ram will last you for a very long time!

I have had a few issues with my ram but I can succesfully say that i am not one of the guys who are experiencing the shake or vibration at high way speeds.

Also, if you can afford it please get the cummins. That motor reigns supreme. My next truck with be a CTD for sure.

3 years, 35k miles -- only, and I mean ONLY issue was when I had it in for a free oilchange (first 3 years, 36k miles they are free every 3000 miles) the VERY FIRST ONE, 3018 miles on it, some 19 year old kid, 6th day on the job backs a 3500 dually into my truck! Crunched rear bumper & fender behind left rear tire. They were gonna have it pulled and painted. I said "No, you are going to replace the bumper & entire quarter panel, giving me a loaner while I am without it, and I want to see the new parts when they arrive, or I'm calling my atty.". They called me about 5 days later to show me 2 new parts, unpainted, before sending them to the paint shop and rented me a Chevy Tahoe at the local Enterprise for theFirday-Monday they had my truck.
If I look up close, and the sun angle is just right, I can tell it's spray gun painted, the paint job is good, but the clear coat has some uneven streaks in it. Nobody else has noticed it though...

only had one problem with my truck. . .and it was a TSB fix. . .the drip edge seal was ripping. . .however after driving it off the lot with 68 miles on it, 47500 later and she still has yet to see the dealer for anything. I do all the oil myself.

Don't worry about it. Go out and execute the deal.My 04 Quad Cab HemiRam racked up 36,000 miles no problems, my 06, same setup had 24,000 no problems. My brand new 07 Hemi 4x4 Mega Cab is awesome and look to keep this one for a very long time. The motors are as strong and durable as the competition, if not stronger. Don't let the new Tundra fool you. Sure its probably a good truck in its own right, but the speed of it is not the matter of importance. Its making torque to get things moving and having relaiablity. Besides, the Hemi is right behind the new Tundra in speed. Remember, though, its a truck. It will hold up fine. Go for it!!

YOU should be worried.

The fit and finish is below other new cars ive owned. This doesnt mean you will get a bad one. The real problem is the dealer network is in "fire sale" mode and Im sure there have been memos to the effect of not doing repairs that are not ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. SO the transmission whine and rattle in my 2500 mi 07, they pretend they dont hear it. The carpet defect, they blame on the dealer who sold it to me. The dealer who sold it to me says its a warranty item. Round and round.

Was wondering if you new what the problem was causing the shaking of the trucks at higher speeds and what it was that the did to fix it. Just curious because I have a 2500 and would like to know if it ever happen to me.
