How do you tell if your truck has the LSD or not? I know of the c clip issues and want to know if I should be checking my truck periodically. Does it only come on 4 wheel drive? Thanks

 

Is option on 2wd or 4wd. Check sticker in glove box, if not there check sticker on rear axle, if not there, lift rear of truck, if you can spin 1 tire one way and other tire the other way, you ain't gots...
Also you could open the rear diff and see, makes you change fluids, which is always a good thing...

 

Raise the rear axle and spin the rear tires. If they spin the samederictionthen you have LSD.

 

Put either rear wheel on wet grass, sand, gravel, whatever. Gas it. If it moves with minimal/no wheelspin, ya got LSD.

 

Do a burn out, if you leave one line the there is no LSD if you leave two then you have one.

 

Jack the truck up grab hold of one tire and have someone else spin the other if they both spin the same diretion you have POSI,

Or Remove the inspetion plate on the diff and look for clucth plates, One more get the Vin # go to tthe dealer ask them for a build sheet.
