Got a question for those of you who have newer trucks. Today i saw a guy with the Toyota Tundra, and he was able to bring the rear window down, with the flip of a switch....Now i have the 02, and my windows slide from left to right...This is the first time i've actually seen the whole window come down. So i was wondering if this is feature for new trucks, or just for Toyota.

 

that option has been around for years. just look at the Avalanche.

 

1963 Mercury Merauder. Rear window center section dropped down into the body, by an electric motor.

I think dodge started it in 05/06 Rams as an upgrade option. Not a standard option.

 

Rams only have a power "Sliding" rear glass. We do not get a lowering one from the factory.

 

I had that in my '02 Avalanche, but I am pretty sure they have the power slider in the newer RAM's, as a matter of fact, I think Pappy_FB has it, and a power sunroof too. He'll have to chime in & confirm this though...

 

Old late 60's/early 70's 'vettes had it, I think the Honda del sol did too.

 

I have only seen the whole window slide down on Tundra's. I think Ram's only have the side-to-side windows.

 

i think it would be cool to have but i can think of a few other things i would rather have on a truck before that....

 

lol. Yeah, I would love to have one as well. But I would like other things as well. Maybe a louder and performance-gaining exhaust would be a good start for me!
