2009 ram hemi. anybody else anxious?
Anybody else waiting for the 2009 ram hemi? I think im going to hang on and get a 2010 model to wait for the glitches and bugs to be ironed out. Would be nice if they offered an option to disable mds. Aynone car to guess what the power rating on the new hemi will be? im going to guess somewhere shy or right at 400hp.
Well if they want to be king again I think they have to be over 380 or so.
I will be buying
New Ram
New Challenger or
New 2 door Wrangler

My 06 is going to see 500,000 miles or go to the grave before I replace my Ram with a improved version, or a competting brand. I'm so happy with my Ram to date and yes I'm anxious to see a 6.1 hemi or small CTD and new styling, highly doubtful I will buy it.
Dodge styling is really a hit and miss, the Avenger, challenger, charger 300c are nice looking, but the Dakota, Durango, Grand Cherokee, Aspen, seabring, and the rest of the jeep line up ( except the 4 ddor cj jeep ) don't look so Hot.
I'm not a fan of the 06 styling on the Ram, but I like my truck, I hope dodge/chrysler don't take styling cues from Ford, nissan or toyota, granted the current Ram styling is the oldest, but This will never take away from how good my Ram is.

you can go to www.allpar.com and i think they have some HP numbers on what the new hemi is gonna have...here again, i know this info but cannot release it cause I dont want to lose my job lol...at times i hate my job and at times i love it!!!

Take a look at the new Dakota. Get used to it. That’s the 2009 Ram in a smaller scale. They are moving to that squared look in the front but I don't expect to see the front fenders blend into the doors like the Dakota. The front bumper is going to be a little different but expect the Dakota to get these same changes also.
They do not want you too see all of the changes but they release the new Dakota to get a feel how the public likes the look. They will refine the look but like I said, that front end is pretty much going to be it for 2009.
Otherwise it is the same truck. Looks like the same pickup box and same lines on the truck. Only getting a new front cap and power train and that’s all they will do if they are smart. There will be an improved interior with more toys and functions.
I am looking forward to a larger gas engine for the 1500 and a stronger transmission. If they release something like the 6.1L or larger in an R/T trim I would love it.
