Backing the car onto the trailer will distribute the weight more towards the center of your trailer. Especially if its a big block car!!

I had notthought of that, and have tried it, it helps. The truck doesn't sit on the axel...but only has about 1/4" - 1/2" gap. That tip helped, but i still think i need to add some suppport.

The car doesn't have a "big block." it is a 1935 Ford Tudor Touring Sedan. It has the stock Flathead V8, but it is still heavy being Cast Iron!

**Side Question** How do i get rid of that name above my star's? The back seat driver things is really annoying. I don't remember putting that down anywhere when signing up....

The more you post the farther up the food chain you move. I dont know how many it takes to move up, but I bet one of the mods would know.[sm=confused06.gif]

I recently went with the Firestone Ride-Rite airbag setup from Summit for $239

Awesome system, all bot-on, no drilling and took me all of 40 minutes to install. I tow a 32' travel trailer that weighs 8000 lbs and I sit perfectly level. You can also look into a weight distribution setup for the truck and trailer as well.

I looked into weight distribution, but for the cost, it is about the same *** adding bags or springs. I may go with distribution in the future, but the overall ability of the truck is more valuable to me at the moment. I do haul a box trailer as well, but it doesn't put as much of a strain on the suspension.

I agree will Helopilot. I put the Firestones in this past weekend and I'll be trying them out with the toy hauler this coming weekend.

Hemiriden - I tow a 6100lb Toy Hauler with a Weight Distribution hitch. If you don't have one, get one. They work. I got the airbags to help stiffen out the ride while I tow. Good luck.....
