I cleaned the throttle body sometime last week when I installed an ebay intake. Of course I cleaned only the "reachable" side side I didn't actually remove the throttlebody from the truck at that time. I hear these trucks have EGR issues but I thought that would trip a CEL. If it means anything, I don't hear any ticking after installing the intake where I see a lot of others have mentioned it.

My only guess at my crappy mileage is perhaps it's bad plugs / wires. It makes a ton of power; I just have no economy. I expect that when I'm giving it hell in town but with the cruise on the interstate it really shouldn't be that bad.

was it that bad before your intake? have you ever changed your plugs? that is really bad mileage. i don't know of anyone else with a hemi getting that kind of highway mileage.

Yep - I've owned the truck almost 3 months (has 53k miles) and it's always been bad. I noticed that my 200 mile trip home from buying it used most of a full tank, something that never would have happened on my old 92 GMC extd cab 4x4 with ~ 104k miles. Its TBI 350 still did 17-18 on the highway and 13-14 in town.

I haven't attempted the plugs yet, mostly due to the hot weather making it a huge PITA. I'll replace everything when I can get the time to do it. It looks like a lot of fun for the rear-most plugs so I don't plan on it being a quick job. This is coming from someone who had a Dodge Stealth twin turbo that required the removal of the intake manifold to do the plugs.

Oh - and my apologies for jacking Denniss66's thread [8D]

holy hell....well i just got my superchips today and programmed the Performance 91 setting on my truck and then went and did a 0-60 & a 1/4 mile time with a G-spec (measures acceleration & G-Force from the cigarette lighter) anyways before the superchips my truck ran a 7.95 0-60 with a 16.00 1/4 mile....now it runs a 7.4 0-60 and a 15.7 1/4 mile

only mods on the truck is: 180 t-stat, AEM Brute Force CAI, Auburn LSD, Superchips 3815......and the 2nd gear scratches...way too much fun lol
