my buddy has connections at a dealer in his home town, he got them to flash his cpu and his 4.7 spanks my hemi hands down. of course, if you dont have the connections, this is meaningless. but, hey, maybe someone at the dealership will take a bribe??

i'm looking for MPG and a few extra ponies wuoldn't hurt either. i'm not looking for exhaust mods or stuff like that but maybe a re-programming or something not too expensive and that the stealership won't frown on when i bring it in. anybody have any experiences to share? how much MPG did you gain? how much power?
how about a K&N filter?

Lot of good posts. Just put the Volant intake on this weekend it sounds nasty. Has a real growl when you get on it. (but quiet when just driving normal) My Buddy with a K&N wants to throwhis in the trash and get one but can't afford it. CAI looks real nice toowith the polished stainless/carbon look lid. It has the inlet for a ram air duct but thats almost $200 so we bought some flexible duct and ran it down to the spot for the foglight in the bumper. Magnaflow sys. is shipping tommorow. I will post pics after its installed. New Dale Earnhardt Jr wheels are on the way with 33x12.5 18 Nittos. Wheel shop said there coming out of the first batch available here and are actually in customs right now.....I cant wait.

Hey Nasty,
Just saw your new ID icon of your rig. Did you put in a leveling kit? Could you post or send a pic of your truck? I just ordered 33" nitto's with my new rims but may upgrade to 35" and get the leveling kit. I also put a post up about flashing the CPU that magnoman put up earlier in this thread. Have you heard about that. UPS guy just dropped offmy Magnaflow sys. Can't wait to put it in on Fri. Later.

Hey answer this for the misinformed, such as myself. What exactly is "Flashing the CPU" and how did it effect MPG?

well guys, iv'e heard this a few times now and i hear everyone talking about it, i just do'nt see the appeal, it doesn't sound so deep and throaty, and it especially doesn't sound very loud.. i know teh computers and stuff dont have best sound for exhaust clips but ive heard better

Thanks for the pics Nasty. I was trying to decide between 33" or 35" on the tires and not sure if I wanted to do the leveling kit but......I did and just put the leveling kit in this morning.Only took an hour!!! Ready-Lift looked high quality (torsion keys are forged)so I went with them. They also send you a bracket for the ball-jont press to grab on to and it was a huge help. Pretty easy install. Even for tinkerers like me. tires and rims on tuesday......Is it tuesday yet!!!!!!!!
