26 Gallon Tank -- Where is the Last 4 Gallons?
According to the manual, once the overhead display shows a DTE at 0, you have 10% of the total capacity of the tank left. I know this because coming from Yellowstone with my family and a Camper I hit the DTE at 0 and my wife was freaking out while driving the middle of WY. We were able to drive another 32 miles (gently) until we hit a gas station.
Just don't letthe tankget that low. When traveling, I always start looking at gas signs when I hit a quarter tank. When staying local, I fill up at a half tank (I have a 35 gallon tank) to prevent moisture build up. The gas in the tank is also keeping your fuel pump cooled. You also have "junk" at the bottom of the tank that is being sucked in when you get that low. Red
I will fill up when mine gets on1/8 left or before. The most I have ever put in my 26 gallon tank was 24 gallons in West Virginia on my trip to Yellowstone last month. As far as the 34 gallon tank it is only an option for the long bed truck, providing my dealer was not a moron, however on the times under my truck I have noticed that I could not see enough room to add a longer tank on my short bed.

I have thew larger tankand once it clicks I can still ram in about 25 or so dollars and still dont get it full to the top. if i stop when the nozel clicks I have 682kms if I force in more fuel I can get as much as 800kms acording to the oh comp.i assume that the way the tank is set up the fuel just does not displace the air because if you shake the truck air will come to the top and you can add more fuel....it takes a long time to do it though.

Oh wow, a dealer was wrong... Oh well. I wanted to get mine with the big fuel tank. I might findone someone who has a 34 gallon tank and a short bed then once I see how it goes in maybe check a junkyard for a wrecked ram with a 34 gallon tank.
