Engine light came on.

Where should I take my truck to have this checked out? (2003 1500 long bed)

Do I need to go to the dealer

I am Low on $$$. (Baby on the way ).

Most parts stores like Autozone or O'Reillys will check the code for free.

Yea, Autozone is a good place to take it. Red

But you still have to fix what ever made the light come on. Hopefully something simple.

yeha go to advance or autozone have them run a free code check, come back tell us the code and maybe we can help you figure out why its on.

Okay I'm an idiot.
It was the gas cap.
I did'nt tighten it down all the way.

Well at least I did'nt take it to the dealership and pay $88.00 for them to tell me my gas cap is loose.
