Hello, I have a 1500 2007 and want to put some speakers in. First how the heck do you disassemble the dash to get the stereo out? Thanks for the help

All you need to do is open the cup holder and you will find 2 screws on the upper side under the dash bezel. Remove the 2 screws and remove the bezel. It feels tight the first time or two, but just pops right off. After that, there are 4 screws to remove the factory deck.. If you are installing an aftermarket deck, keep in mind that you will need a more expensive than usual wire harness that is required on the 06's and 07's.

What if I am using the factory deck, will I have to buy another harness?

If you are using the factory deck, then you need not remove the dash. You just need to remove the door panels. 4 screws and the door handle on the fronts. And 1 screw and the handle on the rear. Then you will need to cut off the factory haness to the speakers and tie them into the new ones. If I remember correctly the darker green is the positive wire, but don't quote me.

Thanks for the info. We are taking ours apart right now. To be clear, by removing the two screws in the cupholder area, will the entire dash bezel pop off -- including all the cig lighter, temp controls, etc? The bottom half ofthebezel seem like it would pop outbut the upper half is still pretty tight and we don't want to wreck something in there [sm=confused06.gif]
