I've got a 2002 4.7L 1500 RAM. I currently have a K&N CAI and a free flowing exhaust/no headers and a Superchips max micro tuner. My question is.... Will putting on a Fastman Throttle Body really screw with my programmer. Also do throttle bodies help increase gas mileage or do they hurt it. Obviously from my questions you can guess that I don't know squat about TBs.

 

It shouldnt hurt your tuner, you may just have to tweek a few settings at the very most. The throttle body won't really do anything for your gas mileage either, it will give you better acceleration though.

 

Thanks for the info. I was going to call Superchips directly and see what they say. I was hoping that someone would have already done this to their truck. I've heard nothing but good things about the Fastman

 

i got an BBK 70mm on my 02 4.7,and superchips,did not screw anything up,did not have to change anything neighter,my mpg did inprove but i did headers at the same time,if you go with the 72mm,let me know what you think
