you gotta take apart the headlight housing......basically what i did is i put mine in the oven at like 200 degrees to soften up the tar holding them together, then pry up on the clips and pry apart the black housing from the clear lens...once it's apart then remove the chrome insert and use a pair of needle-nose pliers to break the melted plastic off the back of the amber lens, clean up the insert (carefully tho, it scratches very very easily) and then put it all back together.....before i put mine back together, i went through and scraped out all the tar that was in the housing and put in new 3M weatherstrip adhesive.....

just make sure to take your time and dont rush it...nothing like breaking one and having to buy a new one [:@](thankfully this didnt happen to me lol)

HankL also wrote up a pretty good DIY about this that obviously goes into more detail then i just did, but that will get the job done for ya

Don't make the mistake I made. I have a black truck, and I put black headlight covers on (I know they aren't the halos)...but I did it for looks. Anyways, yeah it looked kind of neat, but nothing beats the sharp look of nice clean crystal headlights. It makes a vehicle look new. If you ever want to sell the vehicle, that's the kind of stuff that attracts peoples' eyes, not weird custom stuff. Just my two cents.
