While checking hypertech website i saw that they are making a programmer for the hemi. now i know superchips has one, but which do you think would be better.

 

I also just did some research on this, and had emaild Hypertech, this is what i just got back.

We are Beta testing the 2003 model now and the 2004 should be
here in a few weeks. The dyno chart is only available now for the 2003
model at this time. We do nothing with torque management nor the limited
traction system.

Now doing some comparision on the charts avalible.. by no means.. 100% acurate, but.. its what ive got. Hypertech 'regular' setting has more hp/trq then teh page on superchips, but i dont know if thats there reg or prem settings. But hypertech stock numbers for the hemi, are higher then the ones on superchips page also, alsmot matching the numbers the superchips claims as a gain. And teh 'prem' takes teh cake pretty well upto 5000rpm.

Ima gonna go Hypertech, and a buddy has superchips.. so.. we'll see. his is also '03 with a few more miles then my 04. Im sure ill be here and brag or cry. lol

 

Hopefully somebody will do a performance test and evaluate both products. Until then I would wait. Let somebody else do the beta testing on the new product....

 

Seems to me that if the Hypertech is the same price roughly, it the better choice since they have done something to firm up the shifts. The superchips unit doesn't offer that.

 

Firmer shifts will be appreciated. Hopefully when KenneBell installs my Supercharger his modifications will also include harder shifts. I should have the answers within the next couple of months....

KenneBell has installed their supercharger on a 04 QC 4X4 Hemi. I was unable to donate my truck for a couple of months as required, so KenneBell found another volunteer. I still keep tabs with the install team and everything seems to be going well. I'm waiting to see the performance figures before I decide on KenneBell or Paxton......
