Whats up fellas

engine light came on the other day - autozone tested and said its a p0406 code; which is something with exhaust (ERC Valve)


What is an ERC Valve? Can i drive a week without causing more damage; before i get it to service department.

Also i have 31k on my truck. Is this something that will be covered under warranty. I did put an FM Super 40 dual exhaust on about a year ago; but i would think that would be unrelated?

replace the egr valve for that code very common

 

you can drive your truck and the only problems you may have is a bit rough idle at stop lights and maybeengine cut off every now and then. i just had mine replaced and it cleared the error.
