yeha this guy assured me that he sold his truck and put his back to stock and that it wasnt locked.

 

thats the same way I bought mine, on ebay...he assured me it was good as new and was unlocked....i love it and i dont think i would ever go back to stock lol

ok So i got this in yesterday. A few questons 1. the manual only shows instructions on how to reset codes it doesnt show how to program the truck, It is just as easy as going into "tune vehicle" and selecting 'yes'. 2. How do i save my factory settings if i want to put this back to stock settings. 3. someone said to get the updates for it, but how do i do that. If anyone has any awnsers to this questions it would be appreciated. Im tempted to plug it in and start programming but dont want to make a mistake i will regret.

 

My baad, I found the other manual.I guess i have to wait till i put 91octanne has in my truck i heard you can damage the truck if you use performance setting with low octane gas.

 

One tank of 87 octane will not kill your engine on perfromance setting. It's kinda like drinking decaf instead of real coffee, it'll give you the taste, it won't kill you but it damn sure won't wake you up. I will state this, if you're always looking for the cheapest gas you'll want to put it on 87 octane. You don't want it on 91 octane and run 87 gas on a regular basis.

 

Wait one, make sure you update your flashpaq before installing it otherwise you will not have the most up to date settings available.

 

go to www.flashpaq.com to download the updates for it....just make sure that if you have Windows Vista, then dont bother...gonna be waitin awhile to be able to download updates [:@]

 

I was thinking of ordering one soon as well , one ? i had was can you program ur truck often without worrying about harming anything? Ie going to the towing level on weekends then performance or 87 level through the week or is it bettter to just leave it alone after you program it?
