Hey everyone well its been a while since i have been on here. I took my truck to the dealer yesterday for a ticking noise coming from the passenger side of the engine.... I guess also known as the HEMI tick.... The dealer said that everything checked out ok... no problem found! The service advisor told me that i was probably hearing the injectors.... he said depending on the temperature they can sometimes be loud or quiet??.. Is this true??? Also for those of you who have done some modding to your trucks when you put larger lbs injectors on the motor does(would) this problem go away???.... Thanks for the help!!

My buddy is a dodge mechanic and he agrees with the service manager. The ticking occurs with mine also and I know it to be normal.

 

sounds bout right....aint no mech, but my injectors are noisy..and its a diesel.

 

hey thanks for that link, i knew there has been some other posts about this subject. So from what that post and the responses on this one it could be just the injectors or the exhaust valves???.... I will have to keep my ears open for it and see if it gets any worse!!!

I still have a question about if you change the stock injectors to a high pound rating has anyone tried this and or has the problem gone away or still been there??... Thanks for the help!!
