Default 18in to 22in muffler

I just installed a magnaflow cat-back system on my 05 hemi QC. (part# 15863). I'm getting more cabin drone than i would like. I went down tomufflershop to getsee what i could do. He suggested that I take off the (5x8)18in muffler and put on the(5x11)22in. I'm wondering what others think. Would a 22in make that much of a difference? How about baffled tips? Would that help? Thanks

Hate to be the barrier of bad News But I had a 20 inch Magnaflow 3 inch in 3 inch out It was to loud for meI ended up going back to a stock type of exhaust still aftermarket It's sounds great with out the dreaded Manaflow Drone noise I been hearing go with Flowmaster they dont have the drone like Magnaflows.

If I right higher the flowmaster numbers as 40 or 50 less noise they make we have a set of 50 on my Wifes 2001 V-10 sounds good not very loud in the cab.

Marv,

What brand was the stock type aftermarket? Does walker make a good sounding stock type muffler?

I just got a Magnaflow 2.5 in daul 2.25 out with 3.5 tips run out back under the bumper andI love it. Yes it can be heard in the cab, but it doesn't sounds like drone to me. At 55 its not loud at all. I have an 05 QC 4x4 Hemi.
