okay, because you asked for opinions and not facts...i'll chime in. it'd be a waste of power to use 4x4 unless you can't control wheel spin. if you had a turbo and built up boost before a launch...then you would want to use it. i think you'd actually take more time in the 1/4 using 4x4 ....then again, that's just an opinion....i've never tried it.

being an ex drag racer i will tell you that some slight wheelspin is good. no wheelspin is an indication that the motor is underpowered for the available traction which will create a slight bog. minimal wheelspin (no smoke, just a slight slip) will allow the engine to rev quicker producing faster ETs.

My 60' is real good (2.3) and going to get better with the new superchip. So not only am i looking to always improve on that time but I am having most of my problems hiyying a higher topspeed. From what I heard and it makes sense is that you will have less highend speed. I have already experianced that when using O/D off or on.
