ahh yes, i had mine comin straight outt he back then i thought i'd cut them off after the muffler .. sounded horrible that way so i had my pipes redone and now it comes out the corners in the back and it sounds amazing, i seriously doubt you'd notice any performance fall in it i definitely didn't notice any gains when i had them off or drops when i put it back on, but adding it back on made alll the difference in sound, i hae 2.5 inch pipes into a 3.5 14 inch tip angled down out the side on the corner, it sounds sooooo good, and when i go through parkin garages alarms set off left and right . its great, but i still want it just that little bit louder
Less pipe equals less restriction. helps alot when you start doing performance mods. i plan on adding a 6.1 cam here shortly. then 4.56 gears and headers, and later the heads. I like the sound of the dumps personally. some like the sound of the tips. I like the rumble without the noise and distortion. It's not near as loud without the tips at idle, but when you get on it, it is definately audible. When i get a chance Ill make a vid outside of the truck so you can hear it a little better. The hemi and 4.7 sound a little different because they arent set up the same way.
If you want to hear something cool check this link out. It's not a dodge but i am still impressed.

oh, and yeah, that chevy is baaadd!!!! i actually was entering a car show in atlanta with my mustang and we we're setting up everything the day before and i heard the chevy guy bring it in and everyone was all around it, it sounded absolutely amazing! definitely on of the best sounding vehiles i've ever heard in my life . and ive heard a lot .. but anyway he set off like 4 or 5 alarms when he cam in the building and the sound was just bouncin off all the walls.. it was definitely amazing .. the new camaro sounded pretty sweet too .. i'll have to admit i'm not really a hardcore dodge fan, i actually regret buying my truck, i'll prolly get a chevy next time .. who knows .. maybe that one!
