I had the same problem with my truck with only 500 miles on the odomenter. It's a computer control module located in the transmission. Take it to the dealer and they will drop the pan, replace the module, and refill the transmission.

I'll do what manytoys said. Let the dealer handle it. You should have 7/70, unless you are over the 70.

I'm not over, but i live in teh cayman islands, and the truck was bought from the states..so the dealer down here doesnt cover any kind of warranty..sucks cause its a 2004 with only 28000miles on it. thats why i would like to get the part# so i can order from the miami dealership, and get it alot cheaper.

The P0700 code is to let you know there are faults in the transsmission controller. The problem may not be with the controller , a problem with the trans. Maybe a sensor or an internal problem. You need to have a scanner hooked up to get the transmission codes out of the controller. If you are driving the truck and you have 1,2,3 gears and no 4,5 gears you may have a broken plate on the side of the valve body. But I amjust guesting.

a tech came from Miami and said it was a sensor, but the scanner wasnt pulling the exact one it was. i have all the gears in the truck...thought it was just a 4 speed auto though...no 5th. I am changing the one on the outside of the tranny first, and if that doesnt do it, then will do the one inside the tranny. I have the one outside already so i'm just goign to do that first. I can put the transmission in 2nd, and runs fine, just when its in "D" it shifts out at 3k rpm in 1st straight to 3rd.
