Default Ram Air scoop

Anyone ever install one of those air Ram scoops. Is it better to get the enitre hood already done or just add the scoop by its self.

I'm just giving you my personalopinion, but I think you would be better off with the entire hood. I guess it depends on if you want looks of function. You can put almost any scoop you want on your hood but if you want a fucntional hood scoop, ya have to cut the factory hood. The add-on hoods look fake too. They look obvious that they were added to the factory hood, unless you are good with fiberglass. The full hoods are a little more expensive but worth the looks and the ability to funtion as a ramair. You can get SRT-10 hoods at a reasonable price. ( As long as you don't mind having the same hood that everyone else is getting)

I am also not a fan of the stick em on decorative scoop. But if you like it go for it. Does not matter what I or the majority likes, it is your truck. This is not fuctional by the way.

Installing one of the fake intakes is like the fake sunroof or lifting a 2x4, it just does not make any sense.

If anyone is still reading this thread, I could be of some use for opinion, I have the 4.7L with the SRT-10 Hood... gas mileage and power went up... I noticed a difference and it looks really nice too... I'm a happy camper with the entire hood. Don't go fake.

I agree. Spend the extra money. The $300 stick-on is too common! I see them alot and those long twin scoop stick-ons. Just looks cheap..

Hey hey hey don't be putting the stick ons down. That's what I have! Actually they were already on the truck when I bought it. It looks better than a plain hood to me. Eventually I'll go with a hood but they work for me right know.
