Default Revisited question about spark plugs on V6

So I replaced the spark plugs on the truck. One question, do spark plugs manufacturers have their own gaps. I looked at the gap on my trucks label and said .040 but for NGK. I bought Champions and it said .035 so I put the Champs with the .040. The light is on. Is this why?

I checked the code - p0113-Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input. Dammit!
