Default stiffer rear end????

Wednesday i'm getting a 6" lift installed on my rig. What should i ask for to stiffen up the rear end??? I just hauled a 3000+lb trailer, plus my 300 lb 250x, all my gear, my tool box, and beer...(can't forget beer on a 3 day camping trip!!!!!!). And it damn near bottomed me out!!!!!!
Would add a leafs be a good choice?????

By the way, its a pro comp 6" lift, w/ new shocks.

get the rear leaf springs from a 2500....me and a couple friends of mine have done that on their trucks, they want a stiffer ride in the back, so we just swap in a set of leafs from a 2500

I carry a 650# ATV in the bed of mine, usually not an issue, but I have a toolbox that forces me to carry the ATV all the way back with most of the weight behind the rear axle. I don't have a bottoming out issue, but the tail down causes my low beams to blind oncoming traffic at night, not to mention my high beams are up in the trees. I installed a set of air bags, work great. Cheap and easy to install.

Airbags are the way to go when you empty you have a nice ride when you'r loaded down just air them up for the weight.

Option 2 you putting on a lift kit Add a leaf it WILL give you a stiffer ride cheapper than new springs lot less headachs installing them cheapper than airbags draw back stifff ride all the time like 3/4 ton springs.

Just remember up on the Hwy with stiff springs the truck is going to buck I went from a 3/4 4X4 with lift kit 6.5 inch 37/13/18 tiresto to my 1/2 ton big diffrents in ride there is couple of bummps in the Hwy on and from work and home with my old 3/4 ton it would jar you teeth out with the 1/2 ton hardly feel it.

I had many lifted 4X4 trucks in the past with aftermarkt leaf sprigs, add a leaf, blocks, airbags are the way to go hands down.

OH yea try to avoid blocking the rear for the lift not a good idea with a 6 inch lift 4 inch max,

2 or 3 inch add aleaf and like a 2 inch block is not bad but not the best.

My last truck had a Pro Comp lift kit on it I did not like it my self and after one year it sagged alot if I was you ask around what others say about pro Comp before you fork out the cash my was on a 2002 Ford F-250 4X4.
as for my self I prefer Skyjacker they make a kit with front and rear springs for you truck cost a little more but you get what you pay for I found that out the hard way I had a Skyjacker lift kit on my old Dodge power wagon love it.

And a good shock like Bilstiens give you a good ride and most shocks they sale with lift kits are there name house brand are cheeply made shock with there sticker on them buy some good shocks from the get go some good brand all they make are shockes, if you have the money to burn get some KING shocks only about a grand each.

I have had at least 5 lifted trucks in the past I know been there done that like I said take a good look at other lift kit before you buy one ProComp for me was the worst, then Rough Country, Custom Springs are good but they want know how much you truck WT on each corner how muck are you going to tow how much travel you want Ect.
