/ac fan not working

Default /ac fan not working

i have a 2002 1500 quad cab and the heater/ac fan does not work. i checked the connections on the blower and the resister and all are ok. fan worked fine until one day i lowered the tilt steering downward and the fan cut out. r they related some how? please help as the winter months r coming and i don't want to freeze my A** off. thanks.

check fuses? If fuse is ok i'd pull the panel off and look for any damaged wires. Kind sounds like something got pinched when you adjusted the wheel.

Yes they are related, the fan power is controlled buy the ignition switch. Remove shroud around steering column and disconect the ignition switch wiring, you will se it is probally melted. Replace the connector and the ignition switch, dodge has a repair kit for the switch wiring. make sure to replace the connector though due to being a fire hazard. Hope this helps.

thanks for the help guys . the wires in the steering column were melted, not to hard to replace. this is a great forum.
