I am happy with my 05 7/70, mainly because I would not own it past 70K. The lifetime warranty is also not a selling point. It I am not mistake (can someone confirm?) the lifetime warranty is not transferrable to a new owner.

It looks legit, but who knows. Has anybody bought from them yet. I'll have to think it over, because I have a good friend that is a mechanic and he usually helps me out to a degree.

 

Thinking about going with the $750.00/100.00 deductable plan. I normally get something different every four or so years. Maybe this will tame me and keep me in my Ram, I like it that much. I wouldn't mind at all taking this baby for at least 150,000 - 200,000 miles plus, if it will go that far. I'm about sick of car payments, so I'll probably do it. Five months old and already looking at close to 15,000 miles. Anysuggestions from the four and five stars?

 

i've heard enough horror stories about getting them to cover anything modded or customer serviced that i wouldn't walk across the street to **** on their warranty.

seriously think about it, would they offer something they thought they would actually have to pay out on?????, for only $750 ?????? what could you replace in the drive train for only $750???


extended warranties are the second biggest scam going, anyone care to guess on the first

 

If it is the Chrysler warranty yes, you can cancel and get some money back...I traded in my Dakota when I bought my 2500 and still had some miles and time left on the warranty and ended up getting back $270. not much, but it was better than nothing. considering the truck was warrantied to 80k and I had 73k on the thing.

 

yeah i know i can get a partial refund if i get rid of it but what if i am keeping it? can i cancel my warranty? maybe i'll call the dealer this week. if they'll talk to me. i bought the commander from one dealer but when i bought my ram i didn'y like their price so i went to another dealer. the salesman called when i drove by and asked why i didn't buy from him. i'm not sure he'd be too willing to help me out now.

 

Well deisel trucks come with a 10year/100,000miles warrenty. But some people run that warrenty out in like 3-4years.

 

It looks like you can also buy a lifetime that can be transferred once for like $200 more.

Also it looks like you are required to have the auto inspected every 5th year after the warranty started. You have 60 days to get this done or lose your warranty.

 

I bought my Ram on Memorial day so I have a date to remmember every 5 years. I have to wonder about when you do all your own maintence, weather that would be a problem, Iam overkill with fluids and oil changes. I think they would have to prove you neglected the services to deny you a warranty claim on that basis.
