Lifetime Warranty on 06-up Dodge $750
[sm=confused06.gif]I just filled in the boxes with my info: 24k miles, 4x4, 2006 and was quoted $2,871 for a lifetime bumper to bumper.
Am I doing something wrong?
I just received in the mail from Chrysler a 7yr/85,000 quote for $3,040.00. So how do you get a lifetime for $750.00.
I am definately confused.

the bumper to bumper will usually be the better warranty depending on how long you'll keep it. my '07 ran has lifetime powertrain but our '06 commander has 6 yr. 100,000 bumper to bumper. since i will probably get rid of it at about the time the warranty will run out then i'm better off with the B to B although it did cost me $2800. but i shouldn't have to worry about anything happening as long as i own it.
A4Twenty,
I would agree with you when talking about third-party warranties where the dealer will not work with the warranty provider. In those cases, you ay the dealer's bill and submit to the third-party warranty vendor.
However, what we are all discussing here is Chrysler's own powertrain & bumper to bumper warranty. There is no thrid party entity involved and you can have service done in any US Chrysler (Dodge)dealership that services your vehicle with no worry of approval from a thrid party vendor.
We keep our cars for a long time ususally, so any major repairs that may be necessary in the future, this could be a great insurance policy. If nothing else, it's great piece of mind that we won't be stuck with a major repair cost should one occur, and that's probably where the value is for many of us.

Not only do non-manufacturer warrantys not pay off but many times they go out of business before the term is up.... buyer beware and only buy authentic manufacture warranty's.
