Default Smittybuilt Bull Bar

Does anyone have the Smittybuilt Bull Bar with a skid plate? I am looking at getting one and wanted to know how it is mounted. Is it solid to the frame or kind of flimsy? I know you probably can't push stuff but I would like to find the best one.

Default RE: Smittybuilt Bull Bar

Bull bars will mount to your frame. If your truck is equiped with the opening in the front for tow hooks (whether you have them or not), the bull bar will mount through the opening to the frame where your tow hooks would be. This is also the best way as far as funtion of the bar goes. The other way that a bar is mounted is the braket will curve under the bottom of your bumper and up to your frame.
