Question about Drivers side Tail lamp bulb?
Got a question for you guys. My Drivers side tail lamp bulb is contantly going out. I must have had this bulb changed 3 or 4 times already. It appears that this is the only bulb that ever goes out....Any opinions?
I go through one or two a year. If you look closely at the bulb contacts, one will probably be pushed in at the middle and either broke, or have plastic partially melted over it. I have no idea how this happens because I can pull them in and out in the same socket and it's fine. The last time there was a thread on this someone posted trying to use electrical grease on the contacts before inserting it. That's what I'm going to try next time and see what happens.
Usually it has something to do with the ground, if you can get a replacement for it from a dealership or online go a head and do it because itll more than likely be more costeffective in the long run, not to mention the hassel of changing your bulb every so often...
ok. the next time i change it, i'll try some of that grease you mentioned, before going and purchase a whole taillight assembly..
If i am not mistaken, this side buld has been changed a couple of times already, and that ding, ding, ding, coming from the dash is driving me nuts.
I'll give a shot, thanks fella's.
