I have a 4 speaker 2007 dodge ram. I am upgrading the speakers. I have searched and cant find out what colors are positive and what are negative. Can someone please let me know the front and rear door color codes and polarity. Thanks, Landon.

 

Solid black.... Negative or Ground

Anything else... Posative or Hot (by this it could be black with white line, black with white words, black with black words, ect.) if it is NOT strait black with nothing on it then it is ground.... anything else is hot.

 

I havent removed the door panels or speakers yet. I am waiting for my new speakers to arrive today.

However, on my 2005 rams the speakes wires werent white, black, red, etc. They were usually odd colors with a stripe down it. Ex: Gray with light gray stripe, Dark Gray with yellow stripe.

 

What speakers did you get?

This is the 06 manual, you can find the wire colors here. I think its chapter 8. Pretty sure are the same.
