Default Ticking noise

Hello all,I own a 20071500 with the 5.7LMDS Hemiand I recently changed my oil with Mobile 1 full synthetic 5W-20 and a K&N oil filter and some additive to help the coating. Since then, I have heard a ticking noise coming from my undercarriage (more specifically around the oil pan) when I am idling. I cannot tell if it is still there when at higher rpms due to wind and exhaust noises but I am sure it is. My question to you is, does anyone use anything other than 5W-20 with the MDS engine, I know it calls specifically for it in the owners manual but..... Also, has anyone had this same problem before? I really appreciate any help with this, if I have to change the oil again it isn't a huge deal because I have easy access to both Royal Purple and AMSOil so I will go to one of them if needed. Thanks again.

Sorry, didn't know exactly what to search for as ticking noise can be very vague, thanks

I have that same ticking noise on my 03, and I noticed it really bad whenI started to use 20w-50 oil. Cannot figure out what it is and I can only hear it when idling. My uncle has looked at it who is a pretty good all around mechanic and does not think it is hurting the engine, but he needs to dig aound a little to see what it is.

I have the HEMI tick as well. Started after I put on a CAI. Around here, it is said to be normal.
