just wondering if anyone has expirenced this , both of my front shocks seem to be gone , i have aprox. 70,000 kms on my 4x4 1500 doesnt this seem premature? and dealer price is 212 a side wow back ordered to boot.

 

Seriously man if you pay 212 a shock you should probably just get rid of your truck! You can buy top names like rancho, edelbrock, bilstein for under 100 a shock... As for the mileage.... can you convert it to american??

 

I have 53000 on my 03 and mine are pretty bad. I just got the truck so it kinda sucks. i didn't drive it over any rough roads during the test drive.

 

Rancho makes an aftermarket replacement. But u have to replace both the shock and strut. Thats what i was told at least

 

2006 has struts so the shocks will be more expensive than the older standard shocks, I think rough country makes an adjustable shock/strut now. There have been a couple threads on these in the past.

 

I just slapped on some new Rancho quick lift struts on my rig, which means I have a pair of 5 month old struts sitting in my garage. Let me know if your interested.

 

ya didnt say i was going to pay 212 just saying thats thedealer price and its aprox . 40,000 miles give or take. I was also looking at the rancho quick lift you mind me asking what you paid and where.

 

50K is average for shocks. It is actually a very over looked replacement item.
