Default 2WD lift kit vs. spindle kit?

I've been looking for a front end lift/level kit for my '04. The only levelling kit I found was a 1 1/2 inch front end lift. Has anyone found a levelling kit for a 2WD that has a bigger spacer. I'm looking to level it out and I need about 3 to 3 1/2 inches to get there. I found a 3 1/2 inch spindle kit. Will that work? What's the difference?

You guys are awesome. Thank you.

I've been doing some more research and I've seen some customer comments that say, after this mod, their ride was rougher and they had to buy new shocks to compensate. Also, a re-alignment needs to be done, after this mod. Is that accurate (for those who've done this mod)?
