over the rails definitely think about how often you throw stuff over the rails and how much leans on there.... (might just be me at the end of a construction day i just start throwin stuff in!!!!)

Only one or the other? I did both with the color matched RhinoLiner. Worth every penny (and it was a LOT of pennies).

over for me. I like that it looks uniform and that the rail is guaranteed for life. It also does not matter whether it is construction or just lugging large items around. Over is the way to go.

Definitely over the rails! First thing to get scratched on a P/U. Even if your goiung to put bed rail caps on still go over so the paint doesn't get ruined. Its funny though that when I was checking out Liners all the installers tried to talk me out of over the rails. Must be harder to do.

You know, when your buds come over to envy your "BADASS" Dodge Ram. You guys have a couple of beers and everyone is either leaning on your bed rails or using them as a beer holder. I went over the rails. If you went the way of Hanson, you wouldn't need it, obviously.

I went with over because of the cap on the bed. I would have done over anyway, to save on the scraping from the constant loading of equipment.

I agree with over the top, I am only going to get under because I have the black plastic bed rail covers that I like the look of on my truck. Not sure if the spray over the top of the rail would look as "clean". Any thoughts?????

I think it looks pretty clean over the top.
