Default Rear end vibration

I have an 04 Ram 1500 2wd 4.7 I put new tires and replace the brake pads in the front. The mechanic told me I didn't need to replace the brake pads in the back. Now, everytime I hit the brakes to stop, the rear end vibrates. It feels like the back of the truck bouncing fast. Can anyone tell me what this could be?

You might not have to change the back brakes. I would just take them off and check the rotors. they may have gotten hot and warped.

I have the same thing, and was told after I got a balance and new shocks that it probably was either the U joint failing, or an out of balance driveshaft.
