No you won't hear or feel anything with the drop in. The stock filter (when new) will flow about the same rate. You need to get something like a full intake to try and get more air in to notice anything.

This is the short version, check out the search feature at the top and you will see alot of threads on this. The only thing that the drop in helps out with is saving money over changing the paper filter all the time.

i appreciate it thank you. also i have heard about people buying the ebay intakes and having no probs, and then i have read all over that they have probs. my real question is, is it really worth it buying one, or will i have it a week and have to get one like K&N. i had a FIPK K&N on my 4.7 durango and i loved it.

The Ebay one have been known to last about 6 months or so (some less) and then fall apart. The filters are not as strong and the tubing deteriates quickly and one case listed on this forum, the tubing that broke went into his throttle body. Guess what? It was real expensive to fix. You really get what you pay for with one of those products. Stick with K & N, Airaid, or something that is top quality...

The only differences you will find, by using a K&N filter, is a thinner wallet and the fact that dirt and oil will make their way into the intake system. I used to have K&N air filters on all of my vehicles until I found a comparison of K&N air filters versus Wix air filters. My K&Ns went in the trash!

I got a 2-3mpg gain off the K&N drop in filter.
