Programmers?
I would like to get a programmer of some kind for my truck, but I don't want to pay $300 - $400 for it, that just seems to high to me. Is there a cheaper way? Please help if you can!!
Not even used will you get a decent programmer less than 300 unless you are find someone that is desparate for the money and needs it quickly. All I have to say is don't skimp if you do buy a programmer. You will be messing with one of the most important parts of your truck and you don't want to mess it up buy going cheap. Plus a programmer is worth every penny you pay for it.
Used to be you could get a great deal on Superchips, but they have clamped down on dealers underselling them. I paid $385 for mine and about a month later the place was selling them for $485. Hypertec isn't a whole lot lessand doesn't compare to the SC. When (and if) the Diablo comes out it may be a better unit (if it has even half the features Diablo claims) but it won't be cheap either.
Only thing out there better than an SC right now would be a custom tune - and if you think the SC is high, then don't even look into custom tuning.
Basically you can get a Superchips now, wait for the Diablo or look into a custom tune. Anything else is pretty much throwing your money away.
