Man, I HATE TO DO THIS, but, +1...

Upper $300's for the Auburn, Upper $400's for the TruTrac. Installation isn't hard when not doing the gears, $200 is about right. I have the Auburn and love it. Locks up nice when you need it, don't know it's in there when you don't...

Is it true that you can not run synthetic oil in a Alburn Carrior I read in one of the other threads it will gum it up or something like that.

Auburn strongly recommends conventional lubes with 4 oz. of the additive. I've read about half a dozen different reasons on the forums. Never thought to shoot Auburn an email to ask why.
I believe the Tru-Trac is the same, least wise that's what I was told by someone who has one.
The shop that did my 4.56 gears & Auburn LSD put in Lucas for the break-in 500 miles and at the change. Says that's all they use, and recommend the same. It's at the upper tier of conventional oils.
Recommended change intervals are 15,000 miles, but I'm going to change every 10,000.
