i like your 3 choices. shut him up real quick. also, i would ask him, if he knows so much about race cars why can't he get the idle down? i've built naturally aspirated race engines up to 650 hp that would idle all day at 750 rpm. this was with a holley carb after a few other builders told me "this cam won't idle under 1000 rpm". ever hear of bread tie wire? sounds to me like a smart mouthed kid that has more money than brains.

I often get challenged by the ricer youth. I just look at my big HEAVY 4x4, grin, and say, "Yup, but I get to pick the track". That's all it ever takes...

These kids think their little Honda's, Mazda's, etc. are so badass.
It's a shame they never heard of REAL cars like Olds 442, Nova S/S, Chevelle, or of course one of the old Hemi cars like the 'Cuda.
I wasn't old enough toget my license till the early '80's, long after the Muscle Car era, and all the REAL good ones were either dead, or too 'spensive for me, but that didn't stop me from getting a '73 Nova S/S though. The 350 with 4 barrel was no biggie compared to the Olds or Hemi, but I loved that car. Had that and an old Jeep J10 4x4, neither got better than single digit mpg's...

i drove a 67 cutlass supreme with the 330 and a two speed powerglide tranny when i was in highschool(graduated in '99) i loved when ppl said oh that big boat cant keep up. ok lets go then. then i would ask "how many times do you wanna lose?" i LOVE classic muscle cars, i want a 442 so bad, but the kids.....so i haul them in my QC!!!
