Default 20" Chrome Clad Wheel Problem

Well, I washed the daytona up real good on Saturday morning to take it to a local car show. I have cleaned the truck quite a few times before and never notices anything major wrong with the wheels (Only one had a little air pocket under the chrome and was not very noticable. After a good 6 hours of sitting in the car show, as I was packing up to leave, I notice a lot of little air bubbles under the chrome (now on ALL four wheels).I am now positive that they are air pockets because I touch one and it moved like the water pocketsunder window tint when it is new. Curious if anyone else has seen this and if so what you did to fix it. I did use a wheel cleaner, but have always used a wheel cleaner. I doubt the dealership would be willing to help out on this one. They'll tell me nothing can be done and to fix it I need all new wheels.

Don't have any pictures with me, I will take some and try to get them on here. I think painting them semi-gloss black would look good on the daytona, and if it were one of my old cars that I paid <$1000 for I would. Could get it professionally done. I am curious as what the aluminum underneath the plastic looks like.

Hey, do you know if he painted them himself, or if he had someone do professionally....Or is he a professional? Just want to know what paint and technique works the best with these wheels if I were to do that to my truck. Damn that would look good on the silver daytona.

I want!! They actually make 35's to fit 20" rims now so I would keep my stockers if I could do this to them. Wonder if he took the chrome covers off those wheels, if it had the chrome covers, if it is an aluminium wheel or what. Anyone have contact with him so I can shoot him an email?

Mine have done the same thing. It almost looks like little worms are in my rims. I have just decided that I am going to get a set of XD Series rims.

I would like to get a new set of wheels, but I am just too damn broke from buying the truck itself....
