Quad vs. Mega
I drove both back to back. To me the QC is loads more nimble and responsive. The Mega Cab really was what I was hoping to get so I could hide in the back while on surveillance and my kid could sleep in the back while at the track. But to try and drive that behemouth arounf Los Angeles would be a nightmare. Then I heard about the AC issue and that sealed it. Can't imagin working in it for 14 hours with marginal AC.
I bought my Mega in Oct of last year - and love it - personally the QC are extended cabs on steroids - they are not a true QC I have ridden in the back of a dodge QC and a chevy/ford QC and the difference is noticeable. So a Dodge QC was out of the question for me. I hunt alot and make alot of roadtrips with alot of gear. I have hauled4 guys to KS for pheasant another 4 to Amarillo from Dallas 350 mi. one way - 3 times - and countless other trips to other parts of west Texas more than 7 times since I have had it and no one has complained about space - even made a convert out of a buddy who had a QC - and within 2 weeks owned a mega. It is all personal preference but for me the mega fits my needs - the bed is the same length as the QC so my four wheeler still fits when I need it - and if it is raining there is plenty of room to stow all my gear in the cab if hunting my myself. The truck handles great and I have not had a problem offroad with it - it is heavy and it's noticeable but it handles well. I will be having kids soon also so the extra space won't hurt.
The only downside - when peope are moving the know you can haul alot and always ask for your help!

Its all good, there all Rams. Take a QC with an 8 foot bed, you think the Mega Cab is huge?? Friend of mine has a QC with the 8' bed and that thing is long.
Come 2009, its going to be a Quad Cab and a Crew Cab (this will be the Mega Cab as we know it now).

Having taken a trip from SE Virginia to Yellowstone and back this past summer I must say I would have liked to had used the Mega Cab instead of the QC. There was loads of room but for an adult to fit in the back seat seemed to be lacking a little on space. My wife sat in the front and my father sat in the back. My wife had to move her seat a little forward to give my father enough legroom. Had I bought the mega cab the leg room would have been sufficiently larger so this would not have been necessary. I will give it a few more years and probably get a mega cab 2010 or 2011.
own a QC, love my QC, but i only bought it because of the price. I'm 6'5", my dadis 6'3", and my brothers are 6'6" & 6'1". anytime they get in my truck they are eating their knees, the QC just isnt big enough. this is where a Mega would be perfect! if you've noticed the QC isnt as big as Ferd or Chevy 4-doors, but they are bigger than their door & 1/2's.
The only problem with the megas is that they look like their design team took the last week off and didnt have time to make a nice looking door to rear with the big blank just hangin there, they should have put in a window or something!
anyway... MEGA for me!

Mega Cab definitely for me.
I havea 1500 Mega Caband the long WB gives it a ride like a luxury car. I'll buy the same if I ever trade this one.
It all depends on each individual's taste/needs.
