anyone know of a top speed limiter bypass?? please help!
hey whats going on guys. i know that theres not a good programmer out for the 4.7L dodge ram, but im looking for a govener bypass now. i guess ill have to settle for the lesser and see if i can at least do that. next weekend when all my parts get here im putting true cold ait intake, exhaust, and a bi xenon HID headlight conversion on my 04 ram. and through looking and looking, i cant seem to find at least a govener bypass. please let me know if anyone has found one that does what im looking for, and if by sheer luck, you have a programmer id like to know where you got it
. FYI, if you have info on the Jet module no thanki you i have enough paper weights
. thanks and please HELP!

when your close to the limiter, 105 or so, turn the key like your starting the truck. the startor wont engage, the speedo turns off and so does the radio, as long as you hold it you'll keep pulling let go of the key and everything comes back including the governor.
esiest way to make a dyno pull with out spending 400 bucks for a tuner

no way. ive heard that, and im along the way of i dont think so. as one said, my luck itd engage and my starter and flywheel would tear to shreds. but thank you for the info. and they do not make a programmer for this motor. i have an 04 ram 1500 with the 4.7. and its a 5 speed quad cab. ive looked EVERYWHERE. one does not exist
this isnt new by any means. and ive never had the startor even try to engage on me. try it just cruising at 40, same thing just going slower. ive been using it for the past year when on the highway.
the starter wont engage at all put your truck in drive and go to start it. it wont because you need to be in park or nuetral. also if you have your truck running in park you can turn the key and it wont kick in after its running. i found this out because i had my truck running with the car starter on and i stuck the key in and turned it too far. i thought i might not have turned it far enough to engage it but then i decided to give it a try and it dont kick in if the truck is already running. all the gauges shut off when you turn the key but the rpms keep climbing.
my trucks a 5 speed thought. does that not make a difference?

SCT has a tuner for the 4.7, I believe it's been released, I'm just not sure if they are up to the '04's yet. If not, it will be here in the very near future.
