Should I get this 5.9 4 speed or wait for a 6.7 6 speed?
I'm still on that ever tiring search for the right truck. I saw this truck at a Ferd dealer yesterday andI liked it.... all except for the fact it had a 5.9 with a 4 speed auto. Is my desire for the 6.7 misplaced? Should i get this 5.9? Is it better to get the 5.9? I'm at a total loss.... except for that the truck is.... well AWESOME to say the least!..... let me know asap as i'm not sure how long this will stay on the lot...it is in the front LOL! Nice dodge is parked next to the main driveway at a Ferd dealer...

Wow, that truck with the 5.9L is beautiful. It's like mine, plusthe Laramie package and alittle bling. I like my 6.7L, but you might get better fuel economy with the 5.9L.
Also, you may want to post this on the Cummins forum vice the 3rd Gen. A lot of the Cummins motorheads don't lurk on the 3rd Gen forum.

i dunno it's really ur choice. if you don't mind dealing with the possiblity of issues since teh 6.7L is brand new then I say go 6.7 since it'd be new and I'm not a big fan of used vehicles because you never know what the person before did to it. but if you want something that is more likely to not have issues and dont' wanna deal with the teething of the 6.7 get the 5.9

i'd go with the 5.9......we've been busting our asses here at work trying to get the controller for the 6.7 to work right....there's been alot of calls coming in about this new 6.7 not running right and doing all sorts of weird ****...so untill we get that sorted out, i'd buy the 5.9...plus like the other guys said, theres more available for the 5.9
