Default Debadging question

Greetings my fello lovers of American made trucks. I have a question about debadging my truck. I've seen numerous pictures of Ram's debadged and I really like the way it looks. I'd like to debadge my truck but I'm worried my '05 black Ramwith 25 payments made, will have a shading difference because of it being two years old (or older since it was actually painted). I wash my truck every weekend and the last time I waxed was about 3 months ago. Would the paint under the lettering be a noticeably different in color and/or shade? Did I pass my window of opportunity?

I have heard a few guys say they had some shadowing but said they whiped the area down with WD-40 and waxed it, said the shadowing disappeared.

i had an 03 durango and i debadged it in 06 and it looked wonderful under the lettering. i say go for it. (dental floss works great to pull them off, and use 3m adheasive remover.)

or let it sit in the sun for a few hours lol...yeah it shouldn't be bad under the badges....i would go through and use a quality adhesive remover after the badges are removed and then use a cleaner wax before you actually wax it...i used a cleaner wax before waxing my truck after i removed the badges and it seemed to really clean it up pretty nicely

Heat gun, plastic scraper. 3m adhesive remover or castrol degreaser (purple bottle)
