How do you determine if truck has been lifted?
I been thinking the same for my self But I live in the middle of the Mojave desert and every day going home threres a killer perrunnner road that would be a bast to take home insead of the black top road.
I use to have a very Nice 4X4 truck but trade it because of Gas prices $110.00 bucks a week plus just to get to work was getting to be to much cash my gas bill is $35.00 a week now.

I will have to disagree with the consensus here. While I'm no fan of lifted 4x2's I hate the nose down look of modern trucks. So an inexpensive level kit might look nice here.
Its usually the other way around for me. I'd leave a 4x4 alone before I left a 4x2 alone. lol. I feel the stock hieght of a ram 1500 4x4or 2500 4x4 is perfect. But the 4x2s on the other hand look horrible in the front. My dakota has more ground clearance than a 4x2 ram, and it only has a 2" lift. I feel like for any 4x2 am, you could really have it sitting right, with a 3" leveling kit (the leveling kit is 3" on the rams right?) for the front, and 2" blocks for the rear. This way, you can get away with you stock shocks, and wont change the ride much. And at least then its gonna be sitting higher. Add some decent sized tires and you can call it a done deal for the life of the truck.
I agree most of the time it isn't worth lifting a 4x2 but with the new body style Dodge has. I would definitely put a leveling kit or turn up the torsion bars to level out the ride and sit it level. MonkeyWrench I think that they consider the leveling kit to be a 2" considering that it is an overall 2" of lift.
If I Lift My 4X2 for a leveling type lift it will be springs only if you going to do it mite as well get 2 or 3more inchs of travel out of itnot like spring spacers, you lift the truck but do not increase Travel.
I just have to find out will OEM length type Blisteins shocks will work for this or doI have go with 5100 seires longer Shocks in Front.

I have no plans of lifting the truck, it's a 4x4, and right now it's really taking some getting used to just parking and figuring out where my fence is when I pull in, okay hell it's hard just staying in my lane on the freeway. Sorry for the mini pic, the first one was too big, the next one said error, matter of fact this one does too, I got frustrated and quit (I have a 3 year old running through the house) my patience is about shot. I picked up some 05 durango rims off of craigs list Saturday for 100 bucks, so I'll be looking for some good deals on some bfg a/t ko's pretty soon. My boy hasn't been to see snow yet, so I got to prep for Lake Tahoe. Anyone know of a cheap tire shop other than directtire? Also I'd would realy lilke to black powder coat the rims, anyone did that on here? I know I should have searched on it....
We're in Fremont, no comment on my wife, I never know when she's [sm=badbadbad.gif]watching....(somebody please help me). But I can't talk too bad about her, I came home from work and she pulled up and surprised me with my Hemi. So I'll keep her....... and my wife too.
