Default what year of ram has torsion bars?

what year of ram has torsion bars? ive got an 06 1500 4x4 and want to fit 35" tires, whats the best and most affordable way?

2002 and up 3rd gen has front torsion bars. Older (2001) had coilover type front units.

Can't help with the cheapest lift method.

I could be wrong but 06+ does not have them. 06+ owners, ring in.

You're correct. 2006 4x4 Rams went back to a coil-over type design.

Additionally, 4WD Rams now ride on a new coil-over-shock front suspension, replacing last year's torsion bars. (In general, torsion bars absorb hard impacts better than coil springs, but are harder to tune for smooth, progressive action.)
